Except this isn't clear at all so you're going to need to experiment several times until you get it right, or just get frustrated and look up the solution on Youtube. Well, DS3 presents you with a tornado puzzle which is an instant kill and that just consists on waiting for the tornado to move out of the way to a location that is not highlighted in any way and then run. Imagine if you had to sit tight and wait for the moving platforms to get to the required position every time, it would competely kill the flow and make it a miserable experience. GOATs like Tropical Freeze do this all the time, so the player can just go through the level while everything is synchronizing around them and it feels amazing. One basic principle when designing a challenge or puzzle is that you shouldn't make the player wait for things to align without doing nothing, specially in situations where there's a quick fail state and the challenge has to be restarted. I finally ended up abandoning the DLC and going back to the main story, until I reached the tornado area. I have 0 intentions on giving Genesis or whatever they release next a try, same with anything GunFire Games or THQ Nordic put their hands on in the future. How did this go through? The devs didn't even test to see if the game was beatable? This is not a combination of random events that can lead to a difficult to replicate situation, this is a progression-blocking bug that will hit 100% of players and that makes it impossible to play through the game. (You're supposed to reach the other block to make a wall jump back to the other side) After looking online for a solution, I found out that there's a bug in the Switch edition: Until I reached one puzzle in a DLC area and was stuck there for more than 1 hour. The game is pretty clunky and lacks a lot of polish, but I was still enjoying it. But time passes and one day I found myself with nothing to play and a very nice offer for Darksiders3 on Switch, so I gave in. So for many years I was very sour on all things Darksiders and vowed to not play any new game in the series. So I decided to wait for a fix that never came and eventually stopped caring, though I always had this sour taste that I hadn't been able to finish the game or play through the DLC I had paid for. It seems like a quick fix could be to just drop some stuff from your inventory, but this was a loot-based game and I was already at the end-game, so I didn't want to part ways with the cool gear I had been finding and upgrading through my playthrough. Then THQ went under and thus it was never fixed. The bug was well known but a patch was never released for it. It seemed to be caused by a bug where your save file would get too big and cause an overflow. But I reached a point where my game would crash every time I entered a door. I liked a lot the original Darksiders, so when 2 was released years ago I was all over it and I really enjoyed it, so much as to buy the DLC when it released. ![]()
